Overview

This average yet bold trail is designed with resilient days, allowing sufficient time for acclimatization and breathtaking enjoyment—making it less prone to AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) concerns. If you're looking for a less-traveled path packed with beauty, solitude, and cultural richness, Mardi Himal is the better choice. The streams lead through lush valleys, aerial meadows, lichen-draped forests, and across streams fed by cascading waterfalls. With snowcapped mountains rising in every direction, the serenity of this off-the-beaten-path journey is unmatched.

Starting from Pokhara, Nepal’s beautiful lake city, the trail winds through vibrant rhododendron forests and riverbanks. It descends to the Mardi Khola and climbs steadily toward Phedi. Along the way, you’ll experience unforgettable vistas of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South (7,219 m), Mt. Himachal (7,893 m), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), and Mardi Himal (5,587 m). The sunrise and sunset views from Mardi Himal High Camp are among the most spectacular in Nepal.
