Langtang Region Trekking
The Langtang Region offers a stunning trek away from the classic circuits, located north of Kathmandu between the Annapurnas and the Rolwaling Himal, and near Shishapangma (8,012 m). The region features several impressive peaks, including Langtang Lirung (7,225 m) and Dorje Lhakpa (6,990 m), with magnificent glacial pyramids at the valley base. Trekkers can optionally ascend Tsergo Ri (4,984 m) for panoramic views, the highest point of the route. Highlights also include the sacred Gosainkund lakes, an important Hindu pilgrimage site, and visits to traditional Tamang, Sherpa, and Newar villages, offering a rich cultural experience.
