Climb Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) in 2027 with experienced Nepal-based guides, dedicated 1:1 climbing Sherpa support, complete Base Camp services, supplemental oxygen, and professionally managed high-altitude logistics for a safe and well-supported expedition.
Mount Manaslu is the eighth-highest mountain in the world and one of Nepal’s most respected high-altitude expeditions. Rising above the remote valleys of the Nepal Himalaya, Manaslu offers everything that makes an 8,000-meter expedition special: a long approach, glacier travel, high camps, fixed-rope climbing, changing mountain conditions, and the challenge of performing at extreme altitude.
For many climbers, Manaslu is their first experience above 8,000 meters. But this is not a mountain to underestimate. Success depends on previous climbing experience, proper acclimatization, physical preparation, reliable logistics, good weather decisions, and a strong team working together from Base Camp to the summit.
Our Manaslu Expedition 2027 is designed for climbers who want to approach the mountain carefully, with experienced Nepal-based expedition support and personal assistance throughout the climb.
Expedition Highlights
A Manaslu expedition
begins long before reaching Base Camp.
After arriving in Kathmandu, the first days are spent checking equipment, completing expedition preparations, meeting the climbing team, and making sure every climber is ready for the weeks ahead.
From Kathmandu, we travel toward the Manaslu region and begin the approach through traditional mountain villages, deep valleys, forests, and gradually changing Himalayan landscapes.
The trek toward Base Camp is an important part of the acclimatization process. Instead of rushing directly to altitude, the body is given time to adjust naturally before the more demanding climbing begins.
Once at Manaslu Base Camp, expedition life settles into a different rhythm.
Climb. Descend. Rest. Recover. Watch the weather. Prepare again.
During the acclimatization rotations, climbers progressively move through the higher camps before returning to Base Camp to recover. These rotations allow the body to adapt to altitude while giving climbers time to become familiar with the route and conditions.
When acclimatization is complete and a suitable weather window arrives, the team begins the summit rotation.
Every decision on the mountain is based on conditions, weather, individual performance, and safety.
Manaslu is a technically moderate 8,000-meter mountain compared with some of the more difficult Himalayan peaks, but that does not make it easy.
Climbers should expect glacier travel, crevasses, steep snow and ice sections, fixed ropes, ladders in certain areas depending on conditions, long climbing days, cold temperatures, and prolonged exposure to high altitude.
The route normally involves several high camps before the summit.
At these elevations, even simple movements require significantly more effort. Climbers must know how to move efficiently while wearing crampons, use an ascender and fixed ropes, manage their equipment, and remain calm when tired or under pressure.
Our team supports each climber throughout this process while encouraging good personal judgment and responsible mountain decisions.
Every climber on our Manaslu expedition receives one-to-one climbing Sherpa support during the high-altitude phase of the expedition.
Your climbing Sherpa assists with high-altitude movement, equipment management, camp logistics, oxygen systems, route support, and summit-day preparation.
Having dedicated climbing support is especially valuable on an 8,000-meter mountain, where fatigue, weather changes, and altitude can quickly make small problems more serious.
Our goal is not simply to push climbers toward the summit. Our priority is to help climbers make safe and realistic decisions throughout the expedition.
Manaslu Base Camp becomes home for several weeks.
Good Base Camp management plays an important role in recovery and expedition performance.
Our team organizes comfortable expedition accommodation, meals, communication, charging facilities, medical and emergency equipment, weather information, and daily coordination between climbers, guides, Sherpas, kitchen staff, and high-altitude teams.
After each rotation, climbers return to Base Camp to rest, eat well, recover, and prepare for the next stage of the expedition.
There is no shortcut to acclimatization on an 8,000-meter mountain.
Our Manaslu program allows sufficient time for climbers to gradually adapt to increasing altitude.
Rather than following a rigid schedule regardless of conditions, the final climbing plan may be adjusted according to weather, route conditions, team health, and individual acclimatization.
Flexibility is an important part of high-altitude mountaineering.
Some days may be spent climbing higher. Other days may involve descending, resting, waiting for weather, or changing plans completely.
The mountain ultimately determines the schedule.
Safety begins with preparation.
Before the expedition, we encourage climbers to arrive with appropriate previous mountaineering experience, strong physical conditioning, and familiarity with basic climbing systems.
During the expedition, our team continuously evaluates:
Reaching the summit is an important goal, but returning safely remains the most important part of every expedition.
There may be times when turning around is the correct decision.
Good mountaineering is not only about knowing when to continue. It is also about knowing when not to.

Manaslu is suitable for experienced climbers who are ready to progress into serious high-altitude mountaineering.
You should ideally have previous experience on 5,000m–7,000m mountains and be comfortable using:
Experience sleeping at altitude, moving on glaciers, and climbing for several consecutive days is highly recommended.
Previous Himalayan experience is an advantage but not always essential.
If you are unsure whether your experience is suitable, speak with our expedition team before booking. We can review your climbing background and recommend whether Manaslu is the right next step for you.
We are a Nepal-based mountaineering company working directly in the Himalayas.
Our approach is simple: prepare carefully, communicate clearly, manage the expedition professionally, and make decisions based on the mountain rather than unnecessary summit pressure.
We believe climbers should understand exactly what they are joining.
Before the expedition, we can discuss your previous climbs, equipment, training, expectations, expedition strategy, and preparation directly with you.
During the climb, our Nepal-based team manages the expedition from arrival in Kathmandu until the team returns from the mountain.
You are not simply booking a climbing package.
You are becoming part of an expedition team.
